Viae Regiae Summer Roadshow

Viae Regiae is a project to map the transport network of England and Wales from 1530-1680.

Its Summer Roadshow included:

Wirral History and Heritage Association is holding its Heritage Open Days from 10th - 19th September.

Cheshire Local History Association is holding its annual History Day on Saturday 30th October. Subtitled "Cheshire's Pioneers" it will be held at the Grange Theatre, Hartford, from 09:45 to 16:30.

The Centenary of the Institute of Historical Research

2021 sees the Centenary of the Institute of Historical Research, which opened on 8 July 1921. For a century, the Institute of Historical Research (IHR) has been thinking back and looking forward, and serving historians across the UK.

Across 2021-22, we’ll be working together with partners to commemorate this centenary and explore history’s past, present and future.

During this landmark year you can look forward to a celebration of the discipline and practice of history with a programme of events and activities.
